The management of SHED Foundation along with the nursing faculty is highly ambitious to provide the best educational opportunities to all its students belonging to diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds of Sindh, Pakistan.

The SHED Institute of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences aims to offer its students a welcoming learning environment that will enable them to perform to their full capacity by empowering them to actively participate in clinical training and field visits. The management of SHED Institute of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences has made every effort to set up the Nursing Institute in accordance with the standards of the Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health Department, Government of Sindh and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

ADMISSION CRITERIA 

  • Generic BSN ( 04 years Degree Program)

Qualification: 

  •   Matric Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
  •  FSc. (Pre-Medical) with 50% marks (Physics, Chemistry & Biology as compulsory subjects)
  • Age Limit: 16-35 years 
  • Gender Ratio: Open merit   
  • Domicile & PRC
  1. Post RN BSN (02 years Degree Program)

Qualification:

  • Diploma in General Nursing
  • Diploma in Midwifery (any Post Basic Specialty for male in lieu of Midwifery) 
  • Experience: 01 year as RN 
  • Domicile & PRC
  1. Community Midwife (CMW) (02 years Diploma Program)

Qualification:   

  • Matric (Either with Arts or Science subjects) with 40% marks   
  • Domicile & PRC

SELECTION OF APPLICANT

Applicant selection in SHED ION & AHS will be considered on the basis of the results of the admission test and interview.

Theory: One credit hour equal to one hour of teaching

Practical/Lab: One credit hour is equal to three hours of practical depending upon the subject workload.

Clinical: One credit hour equal to three hours of clinical work per week

  • Annual system: This scheme of curriculum is also applicable to the annual system in which two consecutive semesters will be considered as one professional year.
  • Internship: After successful completion of 4 years of academic Program, students are qualified to work as interns for one year.
